These are the other collaborations I worked on in project three of Collaberation nation this year.
this is my addition (stage 2) to Phill murrills flying owl ship.
This is my addition (stage 3) to Fon Fon’s piece with Just Griff where I added the old man firing marbles at bubble elephants from his porch whilst a mouse relaxes with a flower below.
and this is my final addition to Stina...

Collaberation nation 3, stage 1
Collaberation nation is a Bristol based chain letter art project that includes fifty artists/illustrators. At the start of the project each artist produces an image on an A3 sheet of paper and sends it on to a selected artist who adds more to the drawing and posts it on again, this happens four times before the drawing is returned to the original artist to be colored. the finished images are...

Dylan shipley solo show
I Went to local Bristol based artist Dylan Shipley’s solo show at weapons of choice last night, the work in the show is based around influences from his time spent in Japan and the Japanese Ukio-E paintings by Kuniyoshi. I took my camera to document it but was too busy trying to keep myself from tripping up on my jaw as it was dragging around on the floor in amazement at all the awesome...

Cupboard door marker pen mural
This is part of a continuing job I am working on for a clients one year old son’s new bedroom. it spans over the bottom of five cupboard doors that run along one side of the room.
I use Non photo color blue pencils to do my sketch up work because I find it is less messy than graphite pencils. Then I use ultra fine point sharpie markers to ink the lines.
from left to right finished.

Bus journey sketching
Drawing on coaches is good sketching practice for me. If you are anal and riddled with ocds like I am and like everything just so, it helps you to free up and be more care free and sketchy. Its bouncy and bumpy and the light is bad if you are on a night journey and you don’t have all the time in the world to perfect things, these are a couple of pieces I did on my way back to Bristol from...

Painting of the guard
I’ve recently been working on a commission to paint a children’s bedroom, this is a part of the ongoing work that I have been doing.
Do you remember (if you did this) when you would measure your height against a door frame or wall and mark it off each year to see how much you had grown?…
thats the idea with the palace guard, he will act as a measuring guage at four feet tall...
